En el extremo noroeste de la Península Ibérica, en un suave promontorio a orillas del río Miño, se levanta Lugo, un municipio de casi cien mil habitantes y con más de dos mil años de historia. Y al pie de la ciudad el río Miño y sus afluentes definen una naturaleza esplendorosa.

Actualmente, Lugo es una capital comercial y de servicios con un importante campus universitario especializado en Ciencias Agrarias (Veterinaria, Montes...). Desde la creación de la Facultad de Veterinaria a mediados de los años ochenta, Lugo se convirtió en una de las principales urbes universitarias de Galicia, sólo superada por Santiago.

Hoy en día las fiestas más importantes de la capital lucense son el SAN FROILÁN (fiestas patronales, 5 de Octubre) y el ARDE LUCUS (mes de Junio).
